Honda CBR600RR and CBR1000RR Exhaust Upgrades: Full Guide
The Honda CBR600RR and CBR1000RR Fireblade are two of the most popular sport bikes for aftermarket exhaust upgrades in Europe. Honda's stock exhaust systems are among the heaviest and most restrictive fitted to any sport bike — removing them produces a meaningful weight saving alongside the expected sound improvement.
CBR600RR vs CBR1000RR: Different Platforms
These two bikes share a brand and styling philosophy but are completely different motorcycles with different exhaust fitments:
- CBR600RR: 599cc inline-four, underseat exhaust exit (dual high-mounted cans on earlier models, single unit on later). 2003-2020 production. Wide aftermarket availability for the popular 2007-2012 and 2013-2016 generations.
- CBR1000RR Fireblade: 999cc inline-four (SC77 to 2019, SC82/SP 2020+). Single right-side muffler. The SC77 Fireblade (2017-2019) and SC82 Fireblade (2020+) are NOT interchangeable in exhaust fitment.
Best Exhaust Options for the CBR600RR
GPR M3 Stainless (2007-2016 fitment)
The most popular CBR600RR exhaust in our catalogue. The 2007-2016 CBR600RR is one of the most widely supported platforms in the GPR range — fitment data is well-established, and the M3 is a well-proven choice. The 600cc four-cylinder at high revs through a GPR M3 is one of the most rewarding sounds in motorcycling. Weight saving: approximately 2.5kg.
GPR Albus Evo4
For riders who want the EC homologated road-legal option with the white carbon finish. Same fitting points as the M3.

GPR Systems (SC77 — 2017-2019)
The SC77 generation Fireblade has strong aftermarket support from GPR in the M3 and Albus ranges. The stock Fireblade muffler is large and heavy — the GPR replacement is a significant visual and acoustic improvement.
SC82 Fireblade (2020+)
The latest Fireblade generation has a smaller aftermarket footprint due to its relative newness. Contact us for current availability.
