Mupo Suspension for Adventure Bikes: What's Genuinely Covered
An Honest Scope for This Guide
Adventure bike suspension upgrades are a popular search, and it would be easy to write a broad guide implying coverage across every current GS, Tiger and Africa Twin on the road. We're not going to do that. Mupo, the Italian suspension brand we stock, has real and verified coverage for specific adventure models — and it does not extend to every current-generation bike. Here's exactly what's genuinely available.
BMW GS: Older Models Only
Mupo's GS coverage in our catalogue is the F800GS (2008–2016) and the older air/oil-head generation — R1100GS (1994–2000), R1150GS (2000–2003), and R1150GS Adventure (2002–2005). For the F800GS, we stock a Mupo fork cartridge kit (around £1,110) and an AB1-Evo rear shock (around £1,060). For the older R1150GS Adventure and R1200GS ADV Adventure (2006–2012), a Mupo GT1 rear shock is confirmed at around £645.
We do not currently have Mupo fork or shock products confirmed for the current liquid-cooled R1200GS or R1250GS. If that's your bike, the honest answer is that we can't verify a Mupo suspension upgrade for it right now — though we do stock a Toby Belgium steering damper for both the 2008–2012 and 2014–2022 R1200GS generations if headshake control rather than ride quality is what you need. See our BMW suspension and steering guide for that.
Triumph Tiger: Older Models Only
Mupo's Tiger coverage is the Tiger 1050 (2006–2016, including Sport variant) and Tiger 800/800XC/800XRX (2010–2016). Confirmed products include fork cartridge springs (LCRR specification) for the Tiger 1050 Sport, a front fork hydraulic 2-piston kit for the Tiger 1050, and AB1-Evo and GT1 rear shocks across the 1050/1050 Sport/800/800XC/800XRX range, priced roughly £130–£865 depending on component.
We do not currently have Mupo products confirmed for the Tiger 900 or Tiger 1200 — the current-generation Tiger. If your Tiger is a 900 or 1200, this guide's Mupo range does not apply to your bike; please don't assume the older-model parts fit.
Honda Africa Twin: Older Models Only
Mupo's Africa Twin coverage spans the 650 NXR (1989–1990), 750 XRV (1993–2002), and the first-generation 1000 (2016, CRF1000L). Confirmed products include a front fork hydraulic kit (around £220), fork cartridge springs R-EVOlution +40mm (around £865), and a GT1 rear shock (around £515).
We do not currently have Mupo products confirmed for the current Africa Twin 1100 (2020+).
Why We're Being Specific Instead of Broad
Suspension parts are model and year specific by nature — a cartridge kit built for a 2010 Tiger 800's fork internals will not fit a 2023 Tiger 900's completely different fork. Rather than write a generic "adventure bike suspension" guide that implies broader coverage than we can verify, this guide is scoped to exactly what's confirmed in our Mupo catalogue today.
If Your Bike Isn't Listed Above
Email us your exact model, variant and year and we'll check current stock and confirm honestly whether a genuine Mupo product exists for it, rather than guess.
