  2. Grip when wet: Wet leather is slippery. Some alcantara variants lose grip when wet too. Look for cover materials that explicitly maintain grip in wet conditions — textured synthetic surfaces or treated suede perform better here than untreated natural materials.
  3. All-day comfort: Cover materials alone don't significantly change seat comfort — the foam underneath does. If your primary concern is fatigue on long days, consider a combined seat cover and foam replacement, or a gel insert option where available.
  4. Durability: Adventure touring seats take more wear than sportsbike seats — luggage contact, standing on the pegs, varying rider positions. Materials should withstand this over seasons rather than just weeks.
